Women's Risk Needs Assessment
The Women's Risk Needs Assessment (WRNA) is a specialized tool developed in collaboration with the University of UTAH and Emily Salisbury, Ph.D., designed to assess the risks and needs of women involved in the criminal justice system. Its purpose is to inform interventions that are sensitive to the gender-specific factors contributing to women's criminal behavior and incarceration.
The requirement for certified personnel to conduct these assessments and provide follow-up support is critical for several reasons, particularly when considering the potential for harm if the WRNA is not administered professionally.

WRNA is primarily used by correctional institutions, probation and parole departments, reentry programs, and specialized courts to assess and support justice-involved women. Its clientele includes state and local governments, community supervision agencies, behavioral health providers, and nonprofits focused on rehabilitation and gender-responsive services. These organizations rely on WRNA to identify individual risks and needs, inform case planning, and deliver targeted, trauma-informed interventions that support successful reintegration and reduce recidivism.
Self Assessment For Fem/Powerment
Created by Emily Salisbury, Ph.D., and developed into a digital product by Interactive Life, Inc., the SAFE, or the Self-
Assessment for Fem/Powerment, is a mobile health (mHealth) app that assesses the 7 domains of women’s
health and well-being.
For many incarcerated women, the relationship with the Self is the hardest one to heal. This is where the
pain, shame, and guilt lives in their minds and bodies. And because women are often motivated toward
behavior change to improve relationships with their children and families, educating them about improving
their own health and wellness is crucial before they can effectively take care of anyone else.
Each SAFE domain includes 5-6 questions (36 questions total) and includes autogenerated, positive feedback
for users after completion of each domain and the entire assessment.

CCIS
CCIS is an innovative platform dedicated to supporting marginalized communities, such as individuals facing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance dependency, and migrant populations.
